Musical Background

Taking a play off his actual name "Augustus Merriweather IV”, and his notorious love for partying well into the night; IV-AM (4-AM) embodies what it means in today's age to be a versatile artist. From trap to club shaking house music and everything in between, he can truly do it all. 
 If you ask him what his production style is, he will return the question back to the listener for their opinion instead. IV-AM prides himself for creating off of vibes the universe is giving him at the moment in time vs a specific sound, but you can always bet there is a touch of house within every release- a nod to his birthplace Chicago. The producer and DJ that you simply can't put in a box, started his journey back in high school under the name "Snook", self producing beats for his own rap projects. His versatility was shaped in part from a desire at an early age to be a super producer with influences such as the The Neptunes, Timbaland, Clams Casino, Shawtyredd and The Alchemist to name a few. A frequent in the Chicago underground music scene for years, IV-AM now calls San Diego home and has shifted his focus to releasing his own projects with his first album release "Lush" in the summer of 2018. Lush delivered sexy summer time house music, with groovy bass-lines and catchy melodies; a signature to his style. With a slew of hard hitting singles released throughout 2020, IV-AM is destined to keep impressing his audience with unique dance music anthems that push genre norms.
